This second exhibition, conducted during summer 2017 is an invitation by the Museum of Modern Art in Valdivia to bring the work to the underground tunnel rooms, a distinct space that allowed us to expand our previous work by creating an embodied experience of the landmine fields. The underground tunnels, we created an immersive experience that aims to tension the effects of the landmines in the territory.
The exhibition has three areas. On the main room, a photographic series of 35 images 50×50 cms display a grid of zenithal views of the atacama desert and a LED screen displays a 3D loop animation of a rotating landmine against a blue sky. Next, visitors who decide to traverse the 50 meters long tunnels are surrounded by darkness and a dynamic sound composition created on-site. At the far end in both tunnels the audience encounters two video projections. Finally, visitors can take away posters containing subjectives maps and texts about this investigation.
