This exhibition presented the work “Inland”, a research project that approaches landscape as a relational construction between territory, objects and inhabitants, articulating artistic practice and anthropological method.
Through what it terms “portraits in absence”, the work explores how everyday objects shape identities and experiences in contemporary contexts mediated by the image.
The exhibition linked imagined and distant spaces, from local archives to migrant-run restaurants, in order to think of landscape as a surface charged with memory, projection and social relations.
