We were interested in understanding how an object this small could occupy such a relevant space in the imagination.  Measuring only eight by five centimetres, weighing one hundred grams, and made of plastic, the mines arranged along the border with Peru, Argentina and Bolivia; cover mountains, high plateaus and seashores in a territory in perpetual movement. This mechanical eye of the camera, the tip of a pencil and the historical archive allowed us to know places that would otherwise be inaccessible. Through them, we recreate an impossible experience, an imaginary shared place.

Nos interesó comprender de qué manera un objeto tan pequeño podía ocupar un espacio tan relevante en el imaginario. De apenas ocho por cinco centímetros, cien gramos de peso, y hechas de plástico, las minas dispuestas a lo largo de la frontera con Perú, Argentina y Bolivia ocupan montaña, altiplano y orilla de mar, en un territorio en permanente movimiento. El ojo mecánico de una cámara, la punta de un lápiz y el archivo histórico nos permitieron conocer lugares que de otra manera serían inaccesibles. A través de ellos recreamos una experiencia imposible, un imaginario de lugar compartido.
