Imposibilidades del Paisaje: Estrategias para sobrevivir un encierro / Landscape Impossibilities: Strategies to survive a lockup.

La siguiente serie explora las percepciones de la artista a partir de las cuarentenas impuestas en Chile (Santiago) durante la pandemia covid-19. Busca visibilizar las limitaciones del confinamiento, donde la incapacidad de transitar  y que nuestros paisajes se limiten a una mirada cotidiana híper vista y sentida. Ya no se puede contemplar grandes espacios, cordilleras nevadas o ríos caudalosos. Nuestro encierro, mediado por imágenes que llegan a través de pantallas solo develan la imposibilidad de experimentar ese afuera. En este encierro, ese anclaje al territorio, a la cordillera omnipresente que abraza la ciudad, se desdibuja, como se desdibujaron las fronteras ficticias en un virus que llegó sin ser invitado.

The following series explores the artist’s perceptions from the quarantines imposed in Chile (Santiago) during the COVID-19 pandemic. It seeks to make visible the limitations of confinement, where the inability to travel makes us inhabit a hyper-seen and felt daily gaze. You can no longer contemplate large spaces, snowy mountain ranges or mighty rivers. Our confinement, mediated by images that come through screens, only reveal the impossibility of experiencing that outside. In this confinement, that anchoring to the territory is blurred, and we don’t longer inhabit our spaces and bodies. We live through the images that are produced before us.
